Dorota Walczak-Delanois – professor, head of the Department of Literature and Modern Languages and the Department of Polish Studies at the Free University of Brussels (Université Libre de Bruxelles). Author of the book Inne oblicze avant-ardy (Different face of the avant-garde). On the poetry of Jan Brzękowski, Jalu Kurek and Adam Ważyk and a bilingual volume of poetry Pensuelles/Rozmysły. She has published in the Parisian “Culture”, “Patrimoine Littéraire Européen”, “Polish Studies”, “The Comparative Yearbook” and “Slavica Gandensia”, among others. Editor-in-chief of Slavica Bruxellensia. Organiser, translator and animator of conferences and poetry meetings in Belgium: Polish Poetry Days in Maison de la Poésie (Namur), Europalia Polska, PassaPorta, Transpoesie, Maison des Arts (Brussels). Awarded by “Poetry Today” (2005) and the Warsaw University Polonicum (2009) for promoting Polish poetry and culture in the Francophone area. Juror of the Wisława Szymborska Prize.
