A poet, holder of a philosophy degree from the University of Warsaw and an advanced research degree (habilitation) in social sciences, Associate Professor at the Education Department at the Christian Theological Academy in Warsaw, formerly Associate Professor at the Maria Grzegorzewska Pedagogical University.

Winner of many Polish and foreign awards, including the Kazimiera Iłłakowiczówna Prize, the Kościelski Foundation Award, the ‘Czas Kultury’ Award and Paszport Polityki, as well as the Crystal Vilenica Award in Slovenia and the Hubert Burda Preis in Germany.  In 2007, she received the Bronze Cross of Merit.

An author of numerous poetry volumes, including her debut Sacra conversazione (1992), Materia prima (1999), Umbry (2002), and Brzeg (2010).
