born 1971, a graduate in Polish Language and Literature from the Jagiellonian University, is a literary scholar and critic, editor of the cultural section for the Tygodnik Powszechny weekly. He was one of the judges for the Nike literary prize in 2005. His interests focus on the work of contemporary Polish poets, including Zbigniew Herbert and Czesław Miłosz. He is the author of a monograph on Herbert Ciemne źródło (A Dark Source, 1998) and editor of the anthology Poznawanie Herberta (Getting to Know Herbert, 1998-2000). He just ended work on a biography of Miłosz. He lives in Krakow.
