the riddled cloth is
neither veil nor voile,

bound never to become either

Klara Nowakowska (born 1978 in Warsaw). Published poetry collections Zrosty [Compounds] (1999), Wodne wiersze [Water Poems] (2002), Składnia [Syntax] (2004), Ulica Słowiańska [Słowiańska Street] (2012), and Niska rozdzielczość [Low Resolution] (2013). Winner of main prize in the Jacek Bierezin contest (1998), and the Gazeta Wyborcza WARTO award (2013). Nominated in the Book of the Year category for the Wrocław Silesius Poetry Award (2014). She lives in Wrocław.
