Tomasz Cieślak-Sokołowski – an assistant professor at the Chair of Contemporary Criticism of the Faculty of Polish Studies of the Jagiellonian University. A historian and a literary critic. A member of the editorial staff of Nowa Dekada Krakowska, the president of the Krakow Foundation of Literature. The author of two monographic books Mój wszechświat uczyniony. O poezji Janusza Szubera [My Universe Created. On Poems by Janusz Szuber] (2004) and Moment lingwistyczny. O wczesnym pisarstwie Ryszarda Krynickiego i Stanisława Barańczaka [A Linguistic Moment. On the Early Literary Output of Ryszard Krynicki and Stanisław Barańczak] (2011). Together with Kacper Bartczak he translated 21st-Century Modernism. The “New” Poetics (2012) by Marjorie Perloff.
