Roma Sendyka – PhD, she works in the Department of Anthropology of Literature and Cultural Studies at the Faculty of Polish Studies of the Jagiellonian University and is the head of the Centre for Research on Cultures of Remembrance. She researches theories of literary and cultural studies, especially the studies on visual culture and the cultures of remembrance. She is the author of: Modern Essay. A Study of Historical Awareness of the Genre (“Horizons of Modernity”, Universitas 2006), From Culture of Me to Culture of Myself (“Horizons of Modernity”, Universitas 2015), as well as co-editor of the Nowa Humanistyka Series (Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, IBL PAN). She was the co-editor of anthologies: From Biological Heritage Memory to Post-memory (2013), Memory and Affects (2014) and Affective History and Politics of Memory (2015). She now works on a book The Memory, Community and Identity of Migration (2016).
