Born in Krakow in 1973. Poet, philosopher, translator and literature researcher. Graduated in Iberian studies. A Francophile. Holder of Michel d’Ornano Foundation Scholarship. She graduated from Université de Caen and Université de Paris VIII. She lectures at the University of Pedagogy in Krakow and SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw. Her three volumes of poetry and photographs were published: Wejście ewakuacyjne (Emergency Entry) (2003), Lego dla ego (Lego for Ego) (2005) and Ślady opon na poduszce (The Traces of Tyres on the Pillow) (2016), as well as two books on theory of literature, devoted to the poetics of contemporary historical fiction. The winner of the 1st Prize at the Halina Poświatowska Poetry Competition (2004), the holder of a literary scholarship granted by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (2007), award winning at I Beca-Residencia Internacional Antonio Machado (2016). Her works have been translated into French, Russian and Spanish. She translates from French and Spanish into Polish. She authored a new translation of Racine’s Phèdre and a new translation and adaptation of Calderon’s Life is Dream. She also selected and translated Roberto Juarroz’s Poesia vertical and a volume of Juan Gelman’s selected poems.
