Professor at the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, head of the Department of Gender and Transcultural Balkan Studies. She deals with the history of Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian literature of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, gender studies, Serbian feminist essays, as well as Serbian and Croatian contemporary drama and Sephardic studies in the Balkans. Author of the monograph Podróże w czasie i przestrzeni. Proza Isidory Sekulić (2000) and …kiedy dojrzejemy jako kultura… Twórczość pisarek serbskich na początku XX wieku (kanon – genre – gender) (2007; supplemented and extended edition: …kada sazremo kao kultura… Stvaralaštvo srpskih spisateljica na početku 20. veka (kanon-žanr-rod), 2012), as well as co-author of Milena Pavlović Barilli EX POST (2009). Her monograph Mistrzynie myślenia. Serbski esej feministyczny (XIX-XXI wiek) is currently prepared for printing and will be released in 2019. Thematic editor of the English-language edition of Studia Judaica (December 2018) devoted to Jewish women in the Balkans. Translator of works in Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian, including prose (Miloš Crnjanski, Miroslav Mićanović, Nenad Veličković, Damir Arsenijević), drama (Tanja Šljivar Ivana Sajko, Lada Kaštelan) and poetry (Dubravka Đurić, Ferida Duraković).
